My wife and myself have on three occasions over the last ten years had the pleasure of visiting Temple Square. On each occasion we were present at your rehearsal and also broadcast on Sunday morning. Each time we found it to be a wonderful experience.

I am always in awe of the precision and spiritual uplift that a choir the size as our magnificent choir has.
I am puzzled though, that more emphasis is not placed on diction, which is fundemental in school and college choirs..
Just this a.m. for instance, instead of singing Amer-i-ca and Jer-i-cho, the choir seemed to be singing Amer-ee-ca and Jer-ee-cho. This is sad.
In the past, as well, broadcasts of hymns and anthems not so familiar that I was able to sing along from past experience with that particular number, I could NOT discern their text. I could tell what they were singing ONLY if I knew the words of the hymn
they were mouthing.
This is an ongoing problem for this choir and I do think it needs improvement.
